My mother has had to wait 2 and 3 hours past the dosage time for her Doctor prescribed pain medication. Today the only LPN on site told my mother that she could not continue giving the medication every 6 hours and if that’s what she needs she should go back to the hospital. UNACCEPTABLE!!

My husband was here as a patient. I am a nurse and the care I saw except from the physical therapists was horrendous. The RN put down the PCA in front of us. My husband was on enteral tube feedings & it would spill during the night where he would be left in a dirty soiled bed. Tube feeding would be left on the floor where it became sticky and dirty. His call light was not answered. On top of it my husband was told is insurance would no longer pay & they were going to do a peer to peer review. We were never told his care would be prorated & we would have to pay for his care. We thought we were supposed to wait for his peer to peer review. So, on top of poor care they were not clear on payment & we are stuck with a $2800.00 bill.

My mother was put here for therapy after a fall and a broken hip. The nursing staff and aides are horrible. The lines of communication is unacceptable here. They didn't use the proper lifting procedures when trying to get her in a wheelchair, they would just lift her under her arms instead of using a gait belt, they didn't make sure the wheelchair brakes were locked before helping her sit. They would give her medication and not even tell her what she was taking. They didn't introduce themselves when they would come into the room and it would be the first time she met them. They would let her call light go off forever , therefore she would not make it to the bathroom on time. When you try to call and speak to someone about issues, no one returns your calls. I could go on and on about this facility. One nurse there totally ignored my questions and rolled her eyes at me while sitting at the nurse's station on her phone and eating.. Just a horrible place. So glad my mom is home where people care for her. Why dothese people get a career in healthcare when they have absolutely no compassion for the people they are to provide care for!! I would give a zero star if it was available as an option!

I highly recommend ProMedica if extra nursing care and physical therapy are ever needed. Everyone at this facility from the doctors, nurses, physical therapists, office staff, kitchen staff, cleaning crew to all of the assistants are friendly, positive, caring, compassionate, encouraging, smiling, supportive and helpful. This quality care is given from all shifts. The food was delicious, the team work given to insure a positive and quick release is amazing. I also received excellent advice and support in all areas of mental and physical recovery. This facility and it's staff are a definite five star!

Questions & Answers

Why is it that patients cannot get their medications in a timely fashion and why is it that when we call to ask this reasonable qestion we are met with confusing answers and downright hostile answers.
