It really depends on who the individual appraiser is...unfortunately, the seller often finds him/herself at the mercy/whim of the person who happens to be at the counter at the time. Seems that there are VERY general rules regarding what they will buy, but ultimately the personal preference of the appraiser seems to trump everything. Bottom line: it's a total crapshoot, so just take your chances!
Depends on the item, vintage or "special" might be taken out of season. Your best bet is to ask the staff what they're buying at the moment.

From YEARS of PERSONAL knowledge I know for a FACT without any doubt that there is a VAST DIFFERENCE of WHO brings it in. For some it doesn’t matter what condition and for others it does regardless if the tags are on and in season.
