There is one in Batavia-- Long John Silvers/KFC combo. Is not as good as the stand-alone LJS, which still exist in other states, but it is still worth the drive to Batavia for a "fix" occasionally. It's only 40 min west of Rochester via I-90. The best part of the LJS/KFC combo is that you get KFC's awesome Cole slaw with your LJS food! :)

I agree with you.

The closest one is this one in Batavia, sadly. But I do agree. We are getting a Chick-fil-A so maybe if that does well some of the other chains might move in/come back. In the past dew years we've had a few new chains in the area: Sonic, Checkers, etc. So there is hope!
