We should have read the reviews before we went booked this hotel. Like others have mentioned, this hotel is well past its prime. The lobby appears nice, but once you pass that area and head to the elevators you may think I differently about your decision to stay here. The walls, doors, and carpets have many scratches, small holes, and other imperfections. Our bed was clean, or so it appeared to be. We slept okay, but with the state of the hotel the way it was, I’m unsure of the cleanliness of our bed and room. The walls in our room had patches where previous holes were covered up. Our tub was discolored and had hairs in it. Do not stay here. Stay literally anywhere else.

This hotel looks nothing like the pictures. The hotel was dirty. There were burn holes and rips in the comforter. There were stains on the sheets. The microwave stand looked like it been submerged in water for months. They almost tried to charge extra for the water park...which was a joke. The outdoor pool looked like a swamp and was not usable. I would not stay here again.

Good: The owner was so nice to us. Room was good enough. Take what you want breakfast snacks were ok. Bed was super comfy. Hot tub area of waterpark was good. Location great, beside the mall and walk to pubs. Bad: Non smoking room still smells of its past life. (Bring some cologne to spray). Outdoor pool closed, needs upgrade. Hotel seems too big with nothing in it, weird. On-site pub bartender wouldn't get me change to play pool table. I'd stay again just because of the hospitality.

Filthy, run down and trashy (literally and figuratively). Everywhere you looked drywall was crumbling, wallpaper was peeling off, paint was chipped and/or cracked, floors were either old and tattered or newer and filthy. Our room was about 50° when we walked in. Normally fine and understandable given the time of year and to save energy. However, it took over an hour to warm up and the unit sounded like a commercial jet was taking off outside our window. Our sink's hot water did not work, the toilet seat was disconnected and, we didn't need it but, there was about a 1/4 roll of toilet paper with no replacement. We had family stay in a connecting room with similar complaints. Their heater never stopped running (even with auto set on) making it constantly hot and noisy and their toilet seat was disconnected as well. As for the water park, having never been there, I went in with an open mind but was just as disappointed as with the hotel. The water looked dirty, the pool's light had some sort of cord or wiring hanging out of it (Unknown what it was but was definitely under water) and the "life guards" seemed like they couldn't care less what was going on around them. There was an individual that was sitting in the "hot tub" that was clearly intoxed or high to the point he was almost passing out in the water and definitely making people feel uncomfortable. The 18 and 60+ year old "life guards" did nothing about it. Bottom line I've been to run down motels in the middle of crime ridden cities that I would visit again before going back here. The only reason the score was a single star was because they put a roof over my head in the middle of winter.
