It's optional, but highly recommended. The Wheel Chair Skycaps do not work for the Airline so most of their pay are tips. Most people tip $3-5, plus they will help you get to your ride and grab your luggage for you.
It is not required but it is a nice gesture. The person that is helping you may not be able to take a tip because of a work policy.
