No it is a closed bore. It is 71cm opening though, so it may help with your issue.
If anyone else looks at this question that is over a year old, the answer is a resounding NO! They used to, but for some inexplicable reason they got rid of it. A true disservice to the region, especially considering that a large number of patients are slightly to severely claustrophobic, like me. I know this firsthand from the patients themselves. Add to them the number of people who for whatever reason are obese, again, like me. I’m 5’3” & weigh 215 and It’s a verrry tight squeeze for me, as in, hey guys, you’re not going to need to immobilize me with additional padding, ok? And I have to take 2 Xanax just to get out of the car. Mad River Community Hospital doesn’t have one either. The nearest is Redding or somewhere in the North Bay like Sonoma or Napa county. But NOT Santa Rosa, if you can believe that. Hmmm ... the largest hospital in SR is also a St. Joseph Health System property. Go figure.
There's is closed MRI. Check with Mad River Hospital. I'm not positive, but I seem to recall that they have an open MRI. But like I said, not positive. It has been awhile since I've been there.
