It depends on the SSD really, a PCIE SSD will be faster than a SATA one. 300-500 MBps for SATA, 2-4x that for PCIE. It will feel much faster as well.

I managed to break the hard drive ribbon cable connector that's soldered onto the motherboard of my dell Inspiron 15 5559. Assuming no other issues, would getting it fixed here cost less than the $150 for a new board?
