I'm from out of state. I had my states conceal and carry permit with me and was unable to purchase any ammo. I tried to buy .40s&w, 12ga. Slugs and .22 lr. What a nice store.
You must have a gun license and i believe you must be a connecticut resident

It's not a store policy thing, it's a State requirement to have a permit. Even for ammo, in Connecticut must have ccw permit or ammo license. Can't fish without a fishing license, and can't shoot without a permit. Even if grandpa left you his shotty or rifle, must get license to purchase ammo
They can ship it to a store in your state
Suggest you brush up on Connecticut State Law for fire arm purchase. Ammo purchase for sport hunting no issues.
