A good rule of thumb for the Uwharrie OHV trails is this: a stock 4x4 vehicle will surprise you at how far you can make it. Your confidence and experience are the biggest limiting factors. The three "d" trails are the hardest- dickey, daniel, and dutch jon. All the other trails range from easy to moderate, meaning that some areas are just a bit bumpy, others require a little finesse and possible a spotter. The big mud pit youre looking for is referred to as the soup bowl sometimes. It is located in the art lilly parking lot. If you stop by the eldorado outpost they have free trail maps available to help you navigate the trails. Most people out here are friendly though, so if you get a bit turned around dont hesitate to ask for directions. Be safe and tread lightly!
Yes, there are trails for certain vehicles and levels of drivers
Can a stock v8 4runner make it there an does it cost money?
No
Yes it's one of the few places left with ohv trails
I have not been four wheeling on the trails in Uwharrie I have a new jku would definitely like to know about the easy trails and how to get to the pit so I can watch other people get muddy LOL
There is a lot of wheeling. For jeeps, atv, motocross. We spent an entire 3 days and still didnt get to every trail (jeeping). From "easy" to "oh hell no" type trail. Lots of pull out options to eat and rest too. Plus a major mob clay pit to get super dirty or watch others get super dirty
If that's a question, then yes, although limited, afaik.
Yes
