The closest to downtown that I personally will fish is Arlington. There are some really good spots on just the other side of the ditch from downtown in the Arlington area off of University Boulevard. There are even some spots down the first couple of roads off University right by where the Arlington Expressway starts to go over the water.
Not the best spot to fish, wouldn't recommend.
I wouldn't recommend it.
The river is dirty. I wouldn't recommend fishing here.
