It's possible... It justice depends on how big your tent is and if there is more than one tent... That should be able to decide your your comfort level.
Tight but possible if you don't have RV plus a car. Good videos on YouTube. Doheny State Beach campground. You can get a better idea.
All sites are pretty tight.
When you book to "tent camp" its the same camp sites you rv park on. So they are the same spot. Some sites are a little larger and more accommodating than others for what you want to do, namely the corner sites and beach front sites. The map online depicts these fairly well. If you're still worried you can book a group site. But in general, I'd say yes one site is big enough, depnds on how cozy you're comfortable being. (Most will post their tent on the cement slab, but I personally like to be on sand or dirt and tucked away next to a bush or tree)
