If my family and i wanted to see the grunion run and arrived at 8:00 pm and planed to stay late into the night should we park in the parking lots or since they close at 10:00 pm wiill we have to leave? Where else should we park?

You could park on Coast Hwy and walk the pedestrian bridge. Over to the beach.

I think you can leave when you want you just can't enter after that time...

As far as I know you should be able to stay & leave when you're done.
