Do I have to take my written , state law and practical exam to get ohio license? I already have my North Dakota license. ?i completed my 1800 hours in cosmetology school. I’m trying to transfer my license from North Dakota to Ohio.

I agree......you can transfer. I would do as indu says and call the board office. I currently hold an advanced license in ohio and am in the process of transferring to wv. All I have to do for wv is take the state laws exam. With that being said.....every state is different. In wv they do not have the advanced license. You can become a Hair dresser at 1500 hours in wv. However, with the hairdressers license you can only do that and you must also be supervised. With the 1800 hr cosmetology license you can contract ur own work and don't have to be supervised. I would just call the office and see what is required. I have to pay 100 dollars for my transcripts to be transferred to wv then another 85 to take the state laws test....I also have to pay for my license once I pass that test. Things could be different for ohio I would Just check. I hope this helped u.
