What is the parking situation here? I know from traveling in DC it can be a bit of a struggle sometimes

There's street parking nearby. You just have to be patient and wait for a spot to be available.

Usually easier to just park at the metro and ride in, weekend parking is free!

We walked & 🚲. Parking was open ,wasn't crowded.

Sunday parking is free.

I don't believe there is any parking. You have to find a parking garage nearby.
