It's best to call them. Everyone is very nice there.
There is a fee to surrender your pet. I would imagine you would be able to get the pet back if you would change your mind. But I believe there would be adoption fees to be paid first in order to receive your pet back. Personally I would call them to ask what the actual policy is.
