You shouldn't give robitusin to a dog, there are a number of chemicals in it that are very bad for a dogs kidneys. As for what you should give...it matters how it started. Honey really won't do anything either. But it's hard to diagnose over the internet. That said, a dry hacking cough isn't usually that concerning unless it gets wet or goes for awhile.
Robitusin if it's dry. If their coughing anything up, see the vet. If after a week and no improvement, see vet. I use it when my dog gets kennel cough.
