If you can get on base. You can stay at the Navy Gateway. You said youre a family member. Okay, if you dont have military ID at all then the military member needs to accompany you at all times. If youre DOD civilian or on Orders and are only civilian then BRING YOUR ORDERSand any documentation that you are suppose to be there. So, YES , family members may stay at the Navy Gateway but you need to explain whats going on and they can accommodate you or point you in the right direction of where youre suppose to stay or can stay.
