An experienced knee surgeon will deliver a great outcome without use of robotics. High volume experienced surgeons produce the best and most consistent results. Robotic devices for knee replacement in their current state of the art have not yet proved their usefulness and in fact may cause further problems of increased operative time, potential delays related to equipment failure and deficient support, potential increased infection risk, increased risk of stress fractures or pain at pin site placement, and decreased operating room efficiency.
