The parking is good, it's under ground and heated. I've never paid for parking. The hotel is about 15min from park city center. But it has two wonderful restaurants in it. I prefer having a car to explore some of the out of the way places.
I agree with Jimmy. It really depends on your preference. Having a car gives you the convenience to go where you want to go when you want to go. But there is a hotel shuttle that will take you wherever you need to go as well. If you rent a car the parking is included with your hotel stay. They provide a parking pass for covered parking.
Rent a car. Well worth it and I use hotel valet.
We just came back from Westgate 2 weeks ago. We rented a car and it was well worth it for sight-seeing. The valet actually parked it for us every time we pulled up. I think there's a big parking lot out back but its $20
