Ya'll missed the joke because Midco freaking sucks.
Does it loose connection like directv when it rains hard or thick clouds or even if it snows to hard. Is midco really this bad cause all I read is bad reviews.
Midco is the best!! Hands down!!
Considering everything on my "gigabit" connection is loading like it's 1989 I'd give AOL dial-up a try. I'm sure at least AOL customer service would be better. Midco's usual response is "Oh your internet is out? Is the router on...it is?...I guess the internet is just out. You're SOL till it comes back." I think a magic 8 ball would give better support.
Nope, didn't miss the joke, Dakota. Theoretically Midco is faster, when it works. A case of lesser of two evils though.
Switched to a gigabit modem with Midco and now my Smart Samsung TV from 2016 does not pickup the connection but my other devices do. Midco said it was a TV problem and to call Samsung for service/tech support. Is any other Midco internet upgraded customer experiencing this problem?
Midco.
Correction: dial-up speed is restricted by the maximum that can be achieved over the phone lines of the traditional landline network. Specifically, that is 56kbps in theory but no more than 53kbps in practice (due to phone company limitations). The slowest speed that Midco offers here in Lawrence is 10mbps, literally about 190 times faster than dial-up. So, even at Midco's most inferior speed, it is much faster than anything that AOL or any other dial-up provider can offer.
Definitely Midco, dial up speed is under 20 mbps, and Midco's slowest package starts at 25/50 mbps for people. So Midco speeds are faster by far.
