Why has the parking situation become such a headache? It is painful to get in and out of the stadium. Is there any way to modify the way people enter and exit as the traffic jams are bad enough to deter some people from coming out?

Most of the issue isn't the people directing parking, it's the people who park and don't listen. Ifnyou wait a while after the game it is normally fine.

Consider mass transit, uber or a taxi

The only answer for that is to leave the stadium early if either your team is losing or if your team is WAY ahead of the visiting team.

Don't park there. Park at the church across the street.

I just wait an hour to an hour and a half and then traffic is fine
