Jewel Osco is a local US brand and Aldi operates in other continents too. The bag production cost is high in US as compared to other countries. Aldi manufactures and imports the same from other countries where mfg cost is also low. Also as per Aldi marketing strategies with low ( in numbers)outlets they want to make maximum profit out of it. You may even find some food prices of Aldi chain better then other food chains.
