Join on line. I did and printed the membership and used it right away. Not sure how long it takes fir the official card to show up.

There was a booth at the entrance where you could sign up. I imagine you could also go online and do it.
You can go online or go to the zoo. Your membership starts immediately after you join. They have different levels of membership and each one offers different things. Make sure you read them all and pick the one that best fits your needs.
