As stated, you CAN do the Zoo in 3 or 4 hours, but you would be kind of rushed without stopping very long to appreciate all the Zoo has to offer. My family can spend an hour to an hour-and-a-half just enjoying the Primate Preserve. We usually make a day of it and spend open to close there.
