The bell was actually cast back in 1775. The big crack most people think is the crack of liberty bell fame is just a larger crack which was common in castings back then when you visit you'll see two bolts reinforcing the bell. The actual historical crack is much much smaller. When You go make sure to give about an hour or longer in line. Enjoy!
