My fellow guides are correct, about 25-30 mins. Stop by the desk at the visitor's center and grab some timed tickets, you may also want to allow yourself some time to take the tours of the Liberty Center as well as explore the many other buildings that are within the Independence Hall system. You can literally spend hours between all the different buildings that are also open and available to take in. The old statehouse is but one in the system.

West wing congressional hall. The docent said it might be dark in the hall. However no flash lights were not necessary for me, probably because I went early on a sunny afternoon.

We went after 4p and did not need tickets. Groups of 70 were let in every 40 minutes. Be prepared to stand approximately one hour before you make it in.

A visit will more than answer that question. The United States is a nation and an idea that evolves with every challenge we overcome. Go gor a visit and you'll get a better perspective of why it was built. Please note our beginnings were humble and fraught with the specter of failure.

How much are tickets

Katie Hutchison | Oct 4, 2018
Austin Hatfield | Oct 4, 2018

They are free, but you need to show up early I the day or reserve ahead for tour tickets. They only give out so many per day, and once they're out they're done. Lot of school field trips during the week and a lot of tourists on the weekend, so they do go fast.
