Save your money. Most of the headstones are so weathered you cannot read them. Ben Franklin's grave can be seen from the street

Really cool to see the final resting places of so many historical figures and heros. My wife and I stopped by in the afternoon and it was a very tranquil environment to rest.

Christ Church Burial Ground is a beautiful cemetery in the heart of Philadelphia. These grounds are still active with recent burials, and offer a glimpse into the past. There is a small fee to get in, but is worth the look around. You can see Benjamin Franklin's grave up close and read the epitaph that's not viewable from the street.

I would have loved to walk around in the cemetery but it was $10 each, if I remember correctly. We were trying to buy as few tickets as possible since we were footing the bill for five adults (our three college aged children) on this trip. There is a break in the brick wall where you can see Benjamin Franklin’s place of rest and even toss your penny onto it.
