Charlotte is a major hub for American Airlines and their website says that the airport is open and flight operations are ongoing but you should check the flight status of your specific flight before you head to the airport.

There are still some flights going through i think. But i would keep checking with the airline, there have been plenty of cancellations. But your best bet is to set up text alerts for your reservation with whatever airline you're flying.
