I will be traveling through the airport for the first time on September 5th

I am not sure if the restrictions in place now will remain by September but right now there is no place to sit down and eat. All food is take out. Face masks do not appear to be mandatory. Overall airport volume is back to normal. Not sure if that helps

Everything is looking good so far.

Correction.....there IS an open food court area where you can sit and eat if you follow the signs for the D and E gates.....when you turn off to the left and go as if you're going to the E gates, you will walk directly to the food and concession area....this is not speculation....I'm an American Airlines employee and I just flew thru CLT this past weekend and stopped at Bojangles BOTH times....everything is open and there are plenty of places to sit!😊
