It is legal to take one tag off of another car and transfer it to another car the DMV told me as long as the tag is registered in your name and u have insurance on your car it is legal to use that tag for a 45 day plate but has to be in ur name and have all your paper work with u. I was told this by the DMV! Sorry some people are just ignorant and disrespectful I guess someones mom and dad didnt teach them any respect!!!
