You should have done it online No they have a Grace. I think that goes all the way up to 90 days
As long as we've received your renewal application, properly completed and accompanied by the correct payment, we will be able to trace it in your record should there be a question regarding your registration. In the future, try renewing online as it will give you a transaction receipt you can keep in your vehicle until the registration arrives in the mail.
It sounds like I'm fine from what the DMV says .Why do I have to go there with a receipt to get a temp plate.
Yup, now you have to go to the DMV with a receipt showing you mailed it in order to get a temporary plate
