Every motor vehicle registered and traveling on the streets of this state are all subject to taxation at the rate of 0.07%. I would suggest that you check with your State's Motor Vehicle registry for taxation rate. In Rhode Island the tax rate is 7 percent meaning $7.00 per hundred. So if you've paid lets say $500.00 for your Saab, the total amount for taxation will be $35.00.

Vehicle excise taxes vary depending on where you live. The rates are set by the city or town. Vehicles older than 15 years, typically, are exempt from the taxes.
