If I don't renew my health card for my CDL,I believe they suspend my CDL,and I have a year to renew,or they take it from me.is that how it works?

No just downgraded to a regular license until you bring in your medical card. You have 1 year from the date of downgrade. Before you lose the CDL.

It gets suspended until you do the health card or 1 year is up. It's always best to do the health card asap.
