There was an admission fee when held at other locations as well. However at the other locations one couldn't board the last remaining wooden Whaling Bark, Banks Dory Schooner, Smallest Full Rigged Ship and collection of shoreside businesses that supported these maritime ventures. The Museum has many other exhibits of art, arts of the sailor and great collection of small craft. I can easily say this is worth the price of admission and agree with Mr. Thornton that Membership is the best deal! You are supporting a great museum and Member Benifits are many.

Free admission is available to members. One may apply their admission fee towards a one year membership. Not a bad deal when you consider other membership discounts and updates on upcoming events.
