Eight long years have passed since I have been to this establishment. It was the day before I moved out of the miserable state of Connecticut forever that I last visited. Unfortunately, I drove 50 miles down to Mystic to find out that my favorite seafood restaurant in the world had run out of nearly all its seafood. But most importantly it had run out of fish! For fish and chips!!! Now I’m not saying that I took the news well that day and the story of my great disappointment has been exaggerated greatly by my family since my visit, but I will say. Whatever dissatisfaction I showed has been magnified by the fact that I have not found another place in all my travels that satisfies my fish and chips craving like this establishment had for years. I gave a four star review for my memories and the one star off is a tear drop mourning the loss of Sea Swirl from my life these past eight long years… If I ever pass through this terrible state again, I will surely visit this oasis. I will also call and confirm they will be properly provisioned for my visit. If the owner ever chose to open a restaurant in SC I’ll be there instantly like a fly on the wall. ;)
