I work at Pathways To Housing and YES, we definitely help single mothers experiencing homelessness. Homelessness and mental illness are the only 2 conditions we have in joining our agency and seeking housing.
They offer help to the mentally challenged I'm not 100% that all their clients are but they do help with housing you'd probably have to call and ask
