Depending on how thorough you wish to see the gardens, I would estimate 90 minutes to 2 hours is a fair time to get a good sense for the overall design and beauty of the grounds.
The gardens is about 16 acres of land it's possible you can take as much time as you want however the gardens closes at 6 PM
