The boardwalk is currently closed due to damage from Hurricane Irma. 12.27.2015. there is a nature walk that goes around the sinkhole but you cannot go into the sinkhole at this time.

Still under construction as of 5-4-19, "hoping to have it open in the next month or two".

This park has been neglected and has fallen below the standard of a place to visit. During the summer the park is overwhelmed with painful biting, blood sucking deer flies which will take weeks to stop hurting. Playground equipment hasn't been maintained and I would not allow my grandchildren to play on. Boardwalk is beyond dangerous and thankfully is closed.
