If you go from the start to finish, it's a good distance. If I had to guess, I would say a half a mile. The current pulls you so you really do not have to do any work. When you have reached the end, you have to get off the tube and walk back to the front. The walk back is about another half a mile in which you have to carry your tube.
The swimming home is in the middle of the tube run. It is a short walk from swimming hole to spring head (under 5 min) and many people play around up at the head before taking off on the tubes. That part of run is very rocky. You will float for about 10-15 minutes and be at swimming hole. Then stop there to play around or keep going on next half. It is sandy and not very rocky. About 10 min float. At end get out and walk back. The walk to swimming hole is 8-10 min at a slow pace. Probably half a mile total floating. This is not a river float experience where you go for hours and the get vanned back. It is small scale.
It is a short walk to the top. It takes maybe 20 minutes then you have to walk back to the top. The walk os maybe 5 minutes.
Circle around...lol! It's a 30 to 40 min. trip and you can get a trip back to your car.
