No. You can book rooms/villas without being a member directly (online) with the resort. They will offer the 90min tour when you get your parking permit. If you are not interested, decline the invitation and enjoy your stay.

They want you to be, but certainly the answer is no. Just go on Craigslist and look for somebody trying to rent out their timeshare for a week. We got a full week for $600. The people that are getting screwed by timeshares sometimes just want to get their maintenance cost back.

It is a time share so naturally they will try to sell it to you like that. But people sell their weeks all the time, so look for that and they could sell it by night if available

No u don't have to be a member. You can pay by the night just like any regular resort.

now they charge you a 30 dollar fee if you miss or decline the sales invite. or for owners it's call an update. we just let them keep the fee we were there for a vacation and needed every hour. Other than that the place was great.
