They are under staffed. Hard for them to find people that want to work.
The one time i went it was busy and we had no issues but my roommates said the samething about being slower when they are less busy. Having ran a restaurant i can tell you that its lazy or bad management. Either 1. they are not on thier employees to give the same service regaurdless of how busy the place is or 2. They are not scheduling enough people during the slow hours. Number 2 happens alot because many corporate places give bonuses to management for saving on overhead cost. So some managers sacrifice giving an employee a shift and over work the staff that is vthere so they get a bigger bonus. I've never worked at Ihop but corporate restaurants like them are known for that.
I've never had a problem
When they are busy, you don't wait for your food, services, the only thing that you may have to wait for is a table. When they are slow, you'll be waiting for everything, (i.e. food, services, drinks, refills, and check) luckily the only thing that you don't wait for is a table, go figure!!!! It's not being understaffed, it's just pure laziness on the part of the management of the 103rd Street IHOP!!!!
They never seemed too slow for me either, usually pretty quick. Occasionally we have to wait what feels like forever for our food when we're hungry or if the kids are acting up while waiting but I think we are just more impatient at those times than the service being slow...
Our service was very fast.
I didn't have any issues....service was great and in a timely manner.
