I actually own my own Yak. But will need to rent one or two others. Would I be able to launch with my family, maybe for an extra $20 so we can be together?

Yes, they have a spot where people just go and launch your personal ones out

I don't see why not, but I would give them a call 1st. There is a public launch down at the end of the road from Sweetwater kayak rentals, so worst case scenario, you could launch your yak at the public launch area, & your friends would kayak down to the end of the point to meet you there to there. You can see what I'm talking about on Google maps.
