Found the 'comfort' straps which click into the main restraint fine especially at the slow upside turn at the top. The main restraint is well cushioned for you legs and lower body. Ignore MO's comment below, if they weren't safe you wouldn't be able to ride the coaster. If you don't want the odd bump and bruise then rollercoasters aren't for you, try fishing!
In my opinion, no. You sit in the seat, then put a leather belt over your torso. During the ride, you fall into this in awkward positions that make it jab into your neck and shoulders.
Quite possibly the most terrifying ride ive ever been on! We sat in the very front, i believe there was an ankle cushion at the front, then the lap bar and the over the head "restraint" that clipped with a carbonara clip at the front. At no time was i uncomfortable in my seat, just nervous about the clip holding me in! I look at it as this...its an extreme thrill ride. It definitely gives you that! If it wasnt safe they wouldnt be able to run it so i took the plunge. What a rush!
In my opinion, the restraints are comfortable. However, they aren't safe. I went on the ride twice and I was scared that I was going to fall out of my seat. At least it's better then the other restraints they have at Busch Gardens.
