The one we stayed in had a bedroom on the main level with a bathroom and living room. The second bed room was in the loft that overlooked the living room on the first floor. It worked for us two couples.
I'm not sure about the cottages. Ours was 2 bedroom 1bath. They do have larger rooms available though
