This is such a nice park to get a chance to stroll around, use the pedestrian bridge into downtown Galena, check out a gazebo, and even playing a little recreation area for little kids.

Cool park with all sorts of unique things to explore, including cannons, a fountain, a gazebo, a trellis, an old pedestrian bridge, and an old brick street. The area is paved but hilly, so be prepared. The pedestrian bridge brings you across the river to downtown Galena, where you can wander the shops. 😊. Note that it is not wheelchair/stroller accessible, having a flight of stairs on either end, but no ramp.

Very beautiful place even during the winter! You can have a great view of the river, the town and the railway from this park. It’s well maintained and clean during our visit. We came here slightly before sunset, and the overall atmosphere was very tranquil and peaceful. Highly recommend!

Grant park just keeps getting better and better! The work the Galena Foundation has done and continues to do to preserve this beautiful piece of history right in the middle of our historic town is incredible. It is gorgeous in all 4 seasons and a part of my daily walk, I consider myself very lucky!
