I'm sure a reservation might speed up your wait time, but I don't think it would hold you a table. Unless it's Friday or Saturday night, you shouldn't need one anyway.
You don't need reservations there unless you are showing up with a sizable group then it's good to give them a heads up so that can accommodate your seating.
They take reservations from Sunday to Thursday all day, Friday and Saturday mornings. But Friday and Saturday night they take call ahead seating starting at 5 pm.
They don't take reservations.
