My husband died five years ago on April 8th. I received 250. He was in the air Force for four years. My sister's husband died last year, also air Force, and received about 2,000 dollars. Am I entitled to that also?

Thank you for your question! It depends on the conditions. The VA pays $2,000 if the Veteran died of a condition that has a Service Connected rating, but $250 if they did not die from that condition. Feel free to stop by our office for more details, but for your case I would recommend asking the VA why they paid $250 instead of $2,000.
