Are you from the South originally? Or the Midwest? Southern BBQ is pulled pork with either vinegar or mustard, and sometimes ketchup, based sauces on it. Shealys is known for their mustard based BBQ sauce on pulled pork.
I am southern born and bred and trust me after 60 plus yrs l know my bar b que...Little Pigs always has a larger selection of meats etc...l guess the days of Ray Levers, Hammys etc are long gone...haven't really had great bar b que since l moved to Lex...l was using the Ryan's as an example of what today's reminded me of..not a prob....l can always go to Little Pigs when l go to Ft Jackson
Is shealy's buffet only, and if so do you stock your buffet with that famous fried chicken I hear folks talking about?
Only BBQ I've ever known is pulled pork with a vinegar or mustard sauce. Sounds like what you wanted was ribs with BBQ sauce on them.
Independent restaurant, not a chain. Rib night is Friday night. I've noticed that Ryan's isn't around anymore, so maybe that business model didn't work out so well.
