How much does a replacement key cost?

I went on ebay, did a search on the serial number of my key fob for my car, found one for like $40 (instead of new for like $400). People end up with extra key fobs from wrecks etc. Good luck. I was thrilled to find one. And if it doesnt open your car, the service dept can make it match/work as long as its the same serial number. Make sure it works. I have one with a dead motherboard. I guess its the same if its a computerized key without the remote control fob. Look on ebay.
