There's only two choices. You can stay at the Hotel where is can be expensive (cost of money) or at home where it can be easier for you to spend time there for residential living and neighborhood management.
I'm also at potential of getting a job at this airport. I currently live in Stafford which is just under an hour south of this airport. However, the living costs of apartments vary on area and where and how close you'd like to live to the airport. Your best bet is to live a little further away as housing charges (such as rent) can cost more than expected

The previous answer referencing the Metro is absolutely correct! Since there's a Metro stop at the airport, you can live in a wide range of places in Washington DC, Virginia, Maryland, etc
